Sunday, April 26, 2015

This week I am linking up with Mrs. Wills Kindergarten for A Peek at My Week!

We have a very exciting week coming up this week! We will be planting and learning all about plants.

Before we left school last week I set up our plant books and our plant bulletin board.
Here is our plant bulletin board, the posters are from my plant unit.

Here are some of the books we will be reading this week.

I recently found these fun videos on Youtube that are awesome for teaching about plant growth.

Here is what we are doing this week:

More Easter Fun!

Thursday, April 2, 2015

Today was our last day of school before our three day weekend Easter break.
Tuesday I blogged about our Sight Word Easter Egg Hunt. Since then, we have been doing more fun Easter themed activities.

We did this fun Easter egg addition activity. This was not my original idea, it was inspired by this pin.

We put six red/yellow double sided chips in a plastic Easter egg (you can use any number of chips), and they shook up the egg and recorded their results. It was a great way to reinforce decomposing numbers that we have been working on lately.

It was a lot of fun and worked really well!

We also did some Easter interactive math notebook pages. We all love our interactive notebooks!
I have started to create themed pages for holidays and they have been great! So far, I have Valentines Day, St. Patrick's Day and Easter.
Here are some examples of the Easter activities we did this week:
